Privacy policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Who is responsible
FlashyIT is a service of Alpenter LLC. Alpenter LLC is the controller of the personal data described here.
For any question about your data, write to [email protected].
What we collect
- Website visits: technical data such as IP address, browser, pages viewed and time, in our server logs.
- Contact form: your name, email, phone if you give it, whether you write as a private person or a business, and your message.
- Get started form: the same, plus your company, address, number of people, devices, the plan you chose, the 12-month commitment and how and when to call you.
- Client account and portal: your contact details, plan, invoices and payments, support requests, messages and the history of your help sessions.
- Protected devices and the FlashyIT app: device name and type, operating system, and protection status such as antivirus, updates, backups and disk space. We do not read the content of your files.
- Remote help sessions: a session only starts when you ask for it or accept it, and you can end it at any time. We keep the date, duration and a short note of what was done.
Why we use it
- To answer you, set up your account and provide the service you subscribed to (performance of a contract).
- To bill you and keep accounting records (legal obligation).
- To keep the website, the portal and your devices secure and to improve the service (legitimate interest).
- Where we ask for it, with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Infomaniak Network SA: hosting of the website, the database and email.
- Resend: sending of the emails the service needs, such as sign-in links, invoices and replies.
- Google Fonts: the fonts of the website are loaded from Google, which receives your IP address.
- If you choose WhatsApp, Zoom or Google Meet for a call, that provider also processes the call under its own terms.
- Banks and payment providers, to receive your payments.
These providers only use your data to provide their service to us.
Where your data goes
Your data is hosted in Switzerland and may be processed in the European Union and the United States, where Alpenter LLC and some providers are based, wherever you live. For these transfers we rely on adequacy decisions, such as the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Frameworks, or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the authorities.
How long we keep it
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
- Enquiries that do not lead to a contract: up to 12 months.
- Client data: as long as your subscription runs, then up to 3 years for messages and support history.
- Invoices and accounting records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, up to 10 years.
Cookies
We only use cookies the website needs to work: your language, your portal sign-in and the security of forms. We use no tracking or advertising cookies and no analytics.
Security
Connections are encrypted, access to client data is limited to the people who help you, and sign-in to the portal uses one-time links instead of passwords.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw your consent. Write to [email protected]: we answer within 30 days.
You can also complain to the data protection authority of the country where you live.
Children
The service is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and clients are told by email of any important change.
Terms of service
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Who we are
These terms apply between you and Alpenter LLC, which runs FlashyIT, for every FlashyIT subscription and service.
The service
FlashyIT gives you remote IT help from a real person and protection for your devices: antivirus, updates and backups checked. All help is remote; there are no on-site visits.
We help with care and do our best to solve each problem, but we cannot guarantee that every problem can be solved, in particular when it comes from hardware, software or services we do not control.
Signing up
You ask for a subscription with the Get started form. We call you, then the contract starts when we accept your sign-up and send you the email to open your portal. We may decline a sign-up.
What your plan includes
- Each plan includes free minutes of help every month, a number of protected devices and, for Business, a number of people, as shown on the website and in your portal.
- Free minutes not used in a month do not carry over to the next month.
- Help beyond your free minutes is billed at CHF 125 per hour, or taken from an hour pack you bought. Packs are valid for the period shown when you buy them.
- Extra devices and extra people are billed each month at the prices shown on the website.
- You can see the minutes you have left in your portal at any time.
Prices and payment
Prices are in Swiss francs and are shown on the website. Plans, extras and extra time are invoiced each month; invoices are payable within 10 days by bank transfer.
A one-time setup fee is due at the start, unless you choose the 12-month commitment, in which case setup is free.
We may change prices with at least 30 days notice by email. If you do not agree, you can end your subscription before the new prices apply.
If an invoice stays unpaid after a reminder, we may pause the service until it is paid.
Duration and cancellation
Without commitment, your subscription runs month by month and you can end it at any time with 30 days notice, effective at the end of a month.
With the 12-month commitment, your subscription runs for 12 months, then continues month by month. If you end it before the 12 months are over, the setup fee that was waived becomes due.
You can cancel by email to [email protected] or from your portal. We may end a subscription with 30 days notice, or at once if these terms are seriously breached.
Your part
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Only ask us to work on devices and accounts you are allowed to use.
- Keep the FlashyIT app installed on protected devices, and keep your own backups of important data.
Remote access
We only connect to a device when you ask for it or accept it, and you can end a session at any time. We only do what is needed to help you.
Liability
We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and where the law does not allow liability to be limited. Otherwise, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect damage, lost profits or data lost when no backup was kept.
Your data
We use your data as described in our privacy policy above.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Clients are told by email at least 30 days before an important change applies, and can end their subscription before then.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and can go to the courts there.
